Pushing cuticles back means, you’re clearing away dead skin cells from the surface and also allowing your products to seal more easily. Nail roots can easily become infected if they’re exposed. Pushing back the cuticles rather than trimming them keeps them sealed to the nail root. Also prevents the onset of bacteria and germs. It helps nails look longer and neater.

The skin usually grows flat over the nail, but proper maintenance involves pushing it back towards the skin of your finger. Pushing back the cuticle gives the nail a longer appearance, prepares it for polishing, and also keeps the cuticles healthy. A cuticle pusher is a simple nail tool. It use to perform manicures and also pedicures. It pushes the skin from your cuticles back and away from your nails to help your nails grow stronger. Here’s information on how to push back a cuticle with a pusher.

Method For Pushing Back Cuticle

There are several methods that can be used for pushing back your cuticles. Here are a few common ones~

Cuticle pusher: This is a small metal tool with a rounded end that is used to gently push back the cuticles. It’s important to be gentle when using this tool, as pushing too hard can cause damage to the skin.

Orange stick: This is a small wooden stick with a slightly pointed end that is used to gently push back the cuticles. It’s also important to be gentle when using this tool.

Cuticle oil: This is an oil that is applied to the cuticles to soften them. After applying the oil, use a cuticle pusher or orange stick to gently push back the cuticles.

Soaking: Soaking your nails in warm water for a few minutes can also help to soften the cuticles. It makes it easier to push back.

Note- It’s important to note that you should never cut your cuticles. Because Cutting your cuticles can cause infection and increase the risk of damage to the nails.

Method For Pushing Back Cuticle

Removing unwanted skin from around your nails leaves you with the perfect base for a flawless manicure. It also helps to prevent bacterial infections, split cuticles, and also hangnails.

You should only ever push back your cuticles, never cut them.

Firstly, remove your nail polish with a non-acetone polish remover. (acetone dries out the nails and cuticles).

Always remove your polish before pushing back your cuticles because the cuticle will be tender afterward and nail polish may sting the skin.

You might also push old polish into the skin and cause an infection.

Next, soak your nails in warm water for five to ten minutes in order to soften the cuticles.

This step is vital and will allow you to push the cuticles back with no pain.

You could even add some coconut oil or jojoba oil to the water to moisturize your fingers.

If you have cuticle oil, apply this on your nails and leave it on for two to three minutes before soaking your fingers.

Dry your hands completely apply hand cream or cuticle remover to your nails and let it soak in.

You can leave it on for as long as you like unless it is a chemical cuticle remover (in which case, read the instructions).
